Stud Services

Our herd sires represent a carefully selected group of proven and emerging sires, chosen for their genetic integrity, fleece quality and functional conformation, with a focus on reliable breeding outcomes.

All males are selected not only for performance and phenotype, but also for their calm, workable temperaments, which we consider fundamental to sustainable and responsible breeding programmes.

With a strong emphasis on true black, coloured, and classic grey genetics, our studs combine respected international bloodlines with long-term performance within a working UK herd. All our males are colour DNA tested, or pending.

Each male plays a distinct role, from foundation and refinement to colour stability and future-focused genetic advancement.

Drive-by services are available for all males listed, with the exception of MFI Kapow of Chalford, who is represented by Chalford Outlaw and Chalford Rebel. Terms and conditions apply.

If you are looking to purchase a quality young breeding male, please contact us to discuss availability.

MFI Kapow of Chalford

A cornerstone true black sire whose influence continues to shape our elite black breeding programme.

A true black, non-fading proven herd sire.

Imported from Magical Farms (USA) in 2012, MFI Kapow of Chalford carries unique true black USA bloodlines and was selected specifically as a genetic successor to his sire, MFI Peruvian Mesquite. Kapow is phenotypically like his sire with notable low standard deviation (SD).

Kapow’s fleece has remained exceptionally black, bright, soft and dense over time, with low standard deviation. He is a highly reliable sire, producing consistently high-quality, predictable progeny - predominantly true black - with excellent conformation and bright, high-frequency, uniform fleeces displaying a clear lack of guard hair.

Now aged 15, Kapow is not available for outside services, but his genetic legacy continues strongly through his offspring within the herd.

Fowberry Excalibur

A proven sire offering structure, reliability and colour stability to discerning breeding programmes.

A mid-fawn proven herd sire selected for his ability to produce black progeny from black females.

Fowberry Excalibur is an outgoing, compact, heavy-boned male combining influential Australian genetics through his sire Eringa Park Golden Age with fine fleece qualities from his dam, a Fowberry Nobility daughter.

To date, Excalibur’s progeny have largely reflected the colour of the females he covers, including true black and even appaloosa, making him a valuable choice for breeders seeking to add quality while reinforcing colour stability. He is producing quality black and dark brown offspring, demonstrating his ability to contribute depth and quality across darker colour outcomes.

Best suited for: Breeders seeking structural strength, dependable colour stability and quality outcomes across darker colour lines.

Chalford Rebel

A future sire bringing rare, classic grey genetics to discerning grey and black breeding programmes.

An exciting rose grey son of MFI Kapow working in 2026.

Chalford Rebel is a son of MFI Kapow of Chalford out of Chalford Noble Reign, the only grey progeny sired by the highly successful Fowberry Nobility. Rebel's pedigree combines respected black, fawn and grey bloodlines, including Fowberry Nell (mid silver grey) and Warramunga Downs Miguel (Australia), making this a rare and valuable classic grey genetic package.

Chalford Rebel exhibits highly inheritable traits from both Kapow and Nobility, most notably low SD. Rebel’s fleece is consistently fine, highly organised across the blanket and into the extremities, with excellent uniformity, good density and a noticeable absence of guard hair.

Rebel does carry blue flecks in his eyes and is therefore best suited to breeding programmes focused on black and grey outcomes rather than lighter colours.

Best suited for: Discerning breeders of black and grey alpacas looking to enhance fleece organisation and add reliable genetic advancement.
