Quality Breeding & Companion Alpacas Currently Available

Alpacas for Sale

Our breeding programme has been developed over more than two decades, with careful attention to genetic integrity and diversity, fleece quality, conformation and temperament.

While we feature selected alpacas for sale from time to time, placements often take place through direct enquiry and discussion. We are always pleased to hear from breeders and prospective owners about the type of alpacas they are seeking, and we welcome conversations around future plans and wish lists.

From time to time we may consider releasing selected breeding females or emerging herd sires to carefully considered breeding programmes where there is a genuine fit for both the animal and the programme.

Companion wethers and non-breeding females are currently available, placed with an emphasis on welfare, suitability and ongoing support for their new owners.

Prospective owners are always welcome to share their alpaca wish list with us, as this often allows us to match the right animals with the right homes as they become available.

Home Requirements

We place animals only in homes with:

• Secure, appropriate fencing
• Suitable field shelter or housing
• A long-term welfare focus

Viewings are welcomed and encouraged.

These companion groups are particularly well suited to:

• First-time owners seeking a stable, manageable introduction to alpaca ownership
• Smallholders wanting a ready-made, harmonious herd
• Existing owners wishing to expand their herd with settled, socially competent males

Their maturity and established herd experience make them a dependable, low-drama choice for those who value calm temperaments and steady group dynamics. Enquiries are welcome from owners who are prepared to invest in doing things well from the outset.

Delivery & Collection

Delivery is available and is normally carried out by us, ensuring a smooth and low-stress transition for the animals. For destinations within approximately three hours, we deliver directly, at cost. For longer distances, we are happy to assist in arranging suitable, experienced livestock transport. Collection may be considered by prior agreement, subject to appropriate transport arrangements and pre-arrival discussion.

Fencing & Biosecurity

Secure, appropriate fencing is essential for alpaca safety and long-term welfare. Perimeter fencing should be well-maintained and stock-proof, designed to prevent access by dogs and wildlife. As a minimum, we strongly recommend the use of an electric deterrent wire along the lower outside perimeter to reduce the risk of intrusion, predation and disease transmission. We are happy to discuss fencing set-ups in advance and offer guidance where needed.

Herd Health & Quarantine

Our herd operates within a structured, high herd health management programme. Where buyers already keep alpacas, other camelids or other farm animals, we strongly recommend a sensible quarantine period on arrival. This protects both existing animals and new arrivals, and allows a gradual, low-stress introduction. We are happy to discuss practical quarantine arrangements and provide guidance as part of the handover process.

Health & Routine Management

All alpacas are looked after according to our herd health programme, including routine vaccinations, parasite monitoring and preventative care. They are up to date with husbandry at the time of sale and leave us shorn, with full documentation and ongoing support included.

Non-breeding females

Select non-breeding females are currently available in small groups to knowledgeable homes where breeding is not the objective, and where entire males or wethers are not kept alongside them.

These females may not have been retained within our active breeding programme or may have retired from it, but they have been raised and managed within the same high welfare and high herd health environment as the rest of our herd.

They are suited to owners seeking a settled female companion group and are placed with the same emphasis on long-term suitability and responsible management.

Where, on rare occasions, a single high-value breeding female is sold, a suitable non-breeding female companion will be offered for travel, quarantine and settling-in purposes.

Details available on request.
